Excellent pull-up bar once installed
Really happy with the overall quality and sturdiness of the pull-up bar once it was fitted. It feels very solid on the wall and I like that you can alternate the setup depending on whether you want the straight or angled grip position. The only frustrating part was the installation. I understand why wall bolts aren’t supplied, as every wall type is different, but it wasn’t very clear that fixings wouldn’t be included. Working out the best mounting option took longer than expected, especially as I’d never used sleeve anchor bolts before. I ended up using M10 sleeve anchor bolts, but it also wasn’t obvious that they required a 12mm drill hole rather than 10mm. Had to redo a couple of holes because of that. Would also be helpful if the instructions included best practice guidance on installation height depending on user height or exercise type. That said, once installed properly, the product itself is excellent and feels very secure.

Hello Phil,
Yes, absolutely. This specific model is explicitly designed for outdoor installation, as Decathlon has treated the bar to withstand outdoor weather conditions.
Since you are mounting it to an external wall in the UK, please keep the following installation tips in mind:
- Wall Fixings: The product does not include wall fixings. For an external brick or stone wall, please visit a local DIY shop (such as Screwfix or B&Q) to purchase heavy-duty M10 masonry shield anchors (expansion bolts). Standard plastic wall plugs should not be used.
- Drilling: Ensure you drill directly into the solid center of the bricks. Avoid drilling into the mortar, as dynamic forces from use can cause it to crumble over time.
- Rust Prevention: Although the frame features an anti-weather treatment, deep scratches from items like rings or watches can expose the steel to dampness. If you notice any scratches in the future, applying a small amount of outdoor metal paint will keep the steel sealed.

Hello Abdi,
Yes, a brick wall is one of the best surfaces for installation, provided it is solid and the bar is installed correctly.
Please note that the bar must be fixed to a "solid wall." Fixings (bolts and screws) are not included, as the required hardware depends on your specific wall type.
A brick wall may not be suitable if it consists of:
- Hollow bricks or breeze blocks (which may require special anchors)
- Brick veneer (a thin outer layer)
- Old or weak mortar joints

Hello Cam,
The diameter of the holes in the structure is 10 mm.

Hello Mo,
The Decathlon Wall-Mounted Pull Up Bar could be used outdoors, as it's made of 100% steel, but we don't recommend being exposed to poor weather and not left in a pool of water.
