Ukulele
First one the strings were unraveled & couldn’t tune. Second one couldn’t tune properly. Both returned.

Great beginner instrument
If you’ve got a bit of basic musical knowledge, then playing the ukulele is easy. This is not a concert instrument! But would be ideal for a child or a beginner. The strings do go out of tune quite quickly, but if you download a tuner app, it’s easy enough to get them back to the right.

Bridge broke away almost instantly
On first attempted tuning the bridge snapped away from the uke and exposed sharp screws. Perhaps I tuned a little tight, but I’m a guitarist and know how to do this properly, so it’s clearly not good quality. I put the bridge back in but the screws now don’t really attach so it’s a bit tricky. I did this rather than the faff of sending it back, as it was only twenty quid and a first uke for my child. But obvs I’ll just have to keep it myself and buy child a better quality one that doesn’t have sharp bits that break away so easily. Wouldn’t recommend for a child: perhaps best just save a few extra quid and go to a proper music shop.

This turned out to be a cheap mass produced item, the wood is poor quality and the nylon strings sag no matter how much you tighten them. Avoid.
