About this product
The Argos Home Winchester Shelving Unit keeps your living room organised and provides a practical spot for books, decorative pieces, and essentials. Its tall design fits against walls without taking over floor space. The grey and oak-effect finish suits relaxed, modern or traditional interiors. Six shelves provide display and storage space, with four adjustable to fit taller items or spread things out. Two drawers with metal runners glide smoothly to keep smaller bits tucked away. The softly rounded top adds a finished look and feels comfortable to touch.
The shelves hold up to five kilogrammes each, suitable for framed photos, houseplants, folded linens, or small decorative items. Metal drawer runners keep movement smooth and prevent sticking over time. The durable finish wipes clean after everyday marks and dust. Wall fixing is recommended for stability in homes with children or pets. Self-assembly required, two people recommended for easier handling during build. Quite a challenging build!
I finished 'building' this today...I have built a fair amount of flat pack furniture, and this was somewhat of a challenge! There are a lot of component parts, they fitted together pretty well but to do it properly you really need a helper! Also, there are some mistakes in the instructions, especially the direction of the drawer runners! Once together it is pretty solid, and heavy! Once completed the drawers are slightly 'wonky', and I noticed some peeling veneer. To be fair to Argos I contacted them straight away and a resolution was agreed upon.

Arrived and packaging was badly damaged told it would be ok as item wrapped up inside, it was not but luckily damaged bits were to the back. Overall it was over priced for what it is more like £80 but lovely colour and fits the space well

Beautiful piece of furniture
I bought this to go in my spare room, it came as a flatpack which took a bit of time to build, but once it was it’s very sturdy and looks great. I would not hesitate in buying this again.
