One Flaw...
All in all, quite happy with this apart from the finish on the pan stands. I would have expected a nicer finish as the surface is quite rough.

Smart looking hob
Had this gas hob installed a few weeks ago to replace an electric one, and we love it! The gas is very easy to control and it looks very swish and modern. Haven't used the timer or Bluetooth hood function so cant comment on that, but its there if you need it.

Gas hob
Absolutely love my new gas hob. Stylish design and heats up quickly and is easy to clean.

Style over substance
The hob looks great and seems to be made well, but unfortunately for the money it's been rather disappointing. It came with a fault which had to be repaired, which isn't great, and I don't think has really been fixed properly (time will tell). The quality of the knob mechanism feels cheap, and the cast iron grill doesn't really seat properly on the hob. Overall its a good hob, but far too expensive for what it is. Would expect better at this price point. Additionally the service provided in fixing the fault wasn't great.

Nearly good....
Burner lighting has been problem since new. And the annoying bluetooth link to a non existent cooker hood is crazy; in that it cannot be disabled. After a major Kitchen replacement, this was the only appliance item we certainly regret buying.

Disappointing
The ignition requires several attempts to keep the flame lit. I cannot see which knob operates which burner because of the small, dark display symbol. The controls in the front are useful but means the two burners on the right can only take 2 medium size saucepans together. The minute timer occasionally beeps on its own accord. The wok burner is useful but the minimum flame on each burner is too high for gentle simmering. Glass is easy to clean.

Spot on
Changing from induction hob to a gas hob makes cooking that much easier, tastier and fast. Best decision we have made. This hob looks just as nice as our induction hob did, sleek but more efficient and cheaper to run.

The AEG HKB64450NB gas hob does not have a timer that automatically shuts off the gas when the set time ends. The built-in timer (called Minute Minder) is a reminder function only—it alerts you when the time is up, but it does not control the gas flow.
For safety, the hob uses thermocouple flame failure devices: if the flame goes out accidentally, the gas supply to that burner is cut off automatically. However, this is a safety feature, not a timed shut-off.
For the AEG HKB64450NB 60cm Flamelight Gas on Glass hob, the minimum installation distance required from tall units at the sides is 150 mm. This ensures proper ventilation and safe operation.
Yes, the AEG HKB64450NB gas hob can be converted to use LPG. You will need an LPG conversion kit, which typically includes the necessary injectors and a conversion label. This should be completed by a professional technician to ensure safety and proper installation.
Replacing your 4-ring HKB64450NB glass gas hob with a 5-ring model can vary in cost depending on the brand and features you choose. Here are some options and their approximate prices:
Cookology 70cm Stainless Steel 5 Burner Gas Hob: Around £159.99.
Cookology 90cm Black 5 Burner Gas on Glass Hob: Around £169.99.
Frigidaire 30-in 5 Burners Freestanding Gas Range: Prices can range from £628 to £1299 depending on the model and features.
These prices are indicative and can vary based on the retailer and any ongoing promotions. It's also worth considering the cost of installation, which should be done by a qualified professional.
AEG HKB64450NB gas hob can still be used during a power cut. Since it is a gas hob, the burners themselves do not rely on electricity to function. However, the electric ignition system will not work without power. In such cases, you can manually light the burners using a match or a lighter.
The engineers are gas certified. A certificate may need to be requested with the couriers/ fitters directly.
The Hob2hood function is compatible with other cooker hoods or hobs that have a Hob2Hood function this will be stated in the user manual. The LFG235S does not have the Hob2Hood function.
Both HKB64450NB and DGE5861HB have hob2hood compatibility.
