Got this time crisis machine for the kids for Christmas and they absolutely love it and I play it sometimes like I used to in the arcades brings back so many good memories would recommend getting one

Bit of duff info Time Crisis is only one player, the two guns are for the other games that dont use the pedal.
One player operates the pedal while the other player dual wields

Time Crisis is a single player game. Point Blank and Steel Gunner do not need pedals. I know that does not quite answer your question but it it covers the context. So unless you mod it, the pedal is not needed for two players.
