Battery mitre saw
Used to cut plastic pipe, and wood, light and laser very good, much quieter than my previous 2 mitre saws, very happy with it. Shape of feet don't fit well in a wookmate, having only one clamp is a slight inconvenience.

Impressive.
Great build quality and performance, nice to have soft start. Powerful motor coupled with cordless convenience, even better if you've already got a supply of batteries to hand -what's not to like.

Great First Mitre Saw
This is the first mitre saw that I have owned but I do have reasonable carpentry experience. That said there is a learning curve to everything and the first negative comment I have is that the manual is not exactly comprehensive. Mitre saws are potentially very dangerous and Einhell could at least produce a 'how to' & 'how not to' video. Relying on YouTube is not ideal - there are some very poor videos among the few good ones. The second negative is that although the workpiece clamp can be moved from left to right the batteries foul on the clamp on the right hand side. I don't know if the corded mains version has the same issue with the motor housing also on the right. The last negative is that the dust collection bag is next to useless and saw dust can quickly build up causing the laser to become obscured. The laser light is very useful - when you can see it - but bright sunlight also obliterates it. I bought the Einhell saw stand and that is IMO essential, but is well worth the money. I will also have to look into more efficient dust extraction. What about the pluses? Lots of them! Accurate and consistent cuts right out of the box with minimal set up. Well made, quiet operation (in comparison to others I have heard on site), and two 2.0 Ah batteries gave surprising endurance during my shed build project. As a first mitre saw I am really pleased with it and as an experienced amateur I doubt I will need anything more sophisticated.

Useful Tool
Appears a well designed and manufactured tool, purchased to replace my old Rexon Saw. Hope it lasts as long. Pity the packaging box had a hole punched into the top, caused by delivery handling. One of the screws was lost from one of the adjustable workpiece supports, screw must have been not tightened as was the other one. Suggest either Einhell ensure screws are tightened or cover with a film.
