About this product
The Hoover HP1 Pet is a lightweight cylinder vacuum that does the job across carpets and hard floors without taking up half your hallway. At 4.1kg, it's easy enough to carry upstairs, and the compact design means it tucks away without needing much space. The 2l bagless dustbin holds a decent amount before you need to empty it, and the cyclonic technology keeps the filter clearer for longer by separating dust from the air as it goes through.
The pet tool tackles dog and cat hair across your home, while the all-floors nozzle switches between carpets and hard surfaces with a suction valve that helps you glide smoothly from room to room. The 2-in-1 tool combines a crevice nozzle for tight spots and a dusting brush for furniture, with onboard storage to keep accessories in place. Metal telescopic tubes adjust to suit your height or extend for above-floor cleaning. You get a 5m power cord with foot-operated rewind, a 1.5m hose, and it runs at 78 decibels. The turbo brush is included along with the combination floor nozzle.

Bought to replace a previous Hoover that finally failed (probably 20+ years old) - bit annoying as I'd just bought new filters for it. On first use it seems brilliant and indeed an upgrade as it seemed perfectly balanced and easier to move around but very powerful suction. Seems competitively priced at £100 for the Hoover brand name

Very light and compact, powerful suction
Very small and very light, super easy to pick up and stows away in very little storage; has strong suction and little wheels on the extension. Value for price is incredible, happy customer. Things that could be better: The cable is a tad too short, 6 or 7m would make it a lot easier to use but I guess the short cable comes with the overall small design. To empty the container you have to take it off completely. Our old hover (same brand, had for many years) openend a separate front dust compartment with a button which was so practical. Noise level is normal.

Only 700w so returned
We bought this vac without being able to check what wattage it consumed. When we got it home it said 700w on the box. The long serving Vax cleaner that we were replacing had 1500w of power so the Hoover was returned to store unopened for a refund.
