About this product
The Kaycie Mid Sleeper gives your child a raised bed that's practical for smaller rooms and high enough for storage or den-building underneath. It's made from solid pine, a natural wood that handles everyday use and stays sturdy through years of bedtime routines. The mid-height design means you can still reach up for a goodnight kiss without stretching. There's space below for a chest of drawers, shelves or a cosy hideaway for reading and playing. The ladder fixes to either side of the frame, so you can position it to suit your room layout. Suitable for children aged six and over.
The solid wood frame sits on wooden slats that support the mattress and allow airflow. A safety rail runs along the open side to keep your child secure while they sleep. The frame must be fixed to the wall for stability, and all necessary wall fixings are included. Maximum mattress depth is 16cm for safety. The bed holds up to 120kg, so it's tested for adult use too. Arrives flat-packed with clear instructions. Two people recommended for assembly. Part of the Kaycie collection with matching furniture available.

Worth the money
Purchased this as daughters room is small. Lots of space under the bed for toys etc. Easy to assemble and fairly quick to put up. Was bit creaky but after fixing to wall really sturdy. One downside no wall plugs provided but think thats to ensure people don't use wrong ones for their type of walls.

Yes, it´s possible to remove and put the ladder on the other side, after it has been assembled.
"The customer just needs to get the wooden cover caps (J) out of the ladder side to get access to the screws (E) under them." They add this further detail: "Screw a chipboard screw in the center of the wooden cover caps in the ladder side, and pull the wooden cover cap out with a pliers, to get access to the screws under them."
They confirm that it can be a bit “tricky to get the ladder side of the bedside rail. It´s attached with 2 big chipboard screws behind the wooden cover caps in the ladder side.” The details of the process they provide is as given below:
1. Find a 3.5mm or 4.0mm thick chipboard screw. (Could use one of the screws for the bed base slats for this).
2. Screw the chipboard screw about 10mm into the centre of the wooden cover cap in the ladder side.
3. Use a pair of pliers to pull on the chipboard screw, until the wooden cover cap is pulled out.
4. The chipboard screw in the ladder side, which is behind the wooden cover cap, can then be removed with a screwdriver.
