About this product
The LX50 can shred 9 sheets per pass into 4 x 37mm cross-cut particles, so you can be sure that your confidential documents have been shredded securely. The LX50 features a safety lock which prevents the machine from being accidentally activated. This paper shredder will shred continuously for up to 5 minutes before requiring 30 minutes to cool down. This shredders cutter will not only shred your documents, but can shred staples, paper clips and credit cards too. The LX50 features a 17-litre bin with a lift-off-head.

Dust creation machine
Throws as much dust out of the top as it puts shredded paper in the bin below. Not a patch on my previous Fellowes shredder which was great.

was brought to replace an old that broke down It is well built and easy to operate It not that noisy it will shred a single piece of A4 paper perfectly I have not try 9 sheets so I can’t say And yes would Recommend to a friend It has good capacity

Excellent Shredder
This is a great shredder. Motor is alot quiter than my last one which I only had for a week so went for the Fellows and glad I did. You still need to use the Fellows Shredder Oil to keep the blades lubricated so the paper doesn't jam up the blades but this applies to all makes of home office shredders. This shredder cross cuts so better sercurity. It has a 17 litre bin capacity. Would recommend.

I bought this about 2 weeks ago and so far it is working as expected.

ITS Ok fit for purpose.
Its ok certainly does the job and serms to be well built, however the 5 min constant shredding time wirh a pause of 30 mins to let the unit not overheat is a bit of a bore .... I expected a bit more VAVAVOOM. Still i suppose we cant have everything the way we wish . Despite this it does work as it should and found it more productive shredding a max of 2 sheets of A4 at a time. Will see how it performs over time. I can not say that i would NOT reccomend this as it does shred perfectly well.

Initial Impressions Positive
Only purchased yesterday, used once briefly, hence 4 as opposed to 5 stars, as early days. Good functionality and much quieter than my previous machine, which was many years old. So far so good initial impressions very promising.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for Fellowes PowerShred LX50 9 Sheet 17 Ltr Cross-Cut Shredder.
The duty cycle for the LX50 shredder is 5 minutes run time and 30 minutes cool down.
