Argos Home Maine - proving the simplest of designs can sometimes be the best. This no-nonsense bookcase is ready to house your personal library of books. Or perhaps you want to showcase your favourite figurines and a few pot plants? At a width of just 42cm, it'll fit in those empty nooks and crannies of the room. But don't be fooled - the shelves are deep, so they fit plenty on. Friendly on the pocket, it's a cinch to assemble too. Maine is a smart choice all round. Storage sorted.

Have bought three of these as my daughter has masses of books they are well priced and very sturdy so do a grand job would recommend if you don’t want bells and whistles

Excellent shelves, stylish and sturdy
We've had these shelves in a different colour for many years and were so pleased with them that we recently updated to the new grey version. They are sturdy, well made, and look really smart in our home. We get lots of compliments on them from visitors. They were easy to assemble and provide plenty of space for all our books. A great quality product that we would highly recommend.

Worth every penny
I'm a bit of a hoarder so I have a lot of stuff but I live in a shared accommodation and I need somewhere to put everything. These shelves are perfect for getting things off the floor and organised. They're easy to put together with a simple set of tools, also bought from Argos. They're studying enough to have two about a meter apart and a third resting across the top of two which creates even more space. The individual shelves can be adjusted to fit larger or smaller to suit their needs. The finish is nice enough too. I've already bought five of these and have plans to buy more.

Go on mybuilder.com. put in that you want a joiner or handyman to assemble the bookcase. You put in what you can pay, agree with anyone that answers and job done. make sure you look at their jobs already done. I had three items assembled for 60.

The internal width is 38.9cm and depth is 28.4cm. In terms of height , there is 1 fixed shelf and 4 adjustable shelves, the upper section is 77.6cm and lower section is 91.7cm.
