Just the job
Bought this clock radio as it has large digital display that dims automatically, or to your own preference, together with good sound profile which can be adjusted to your listening. Good choice of colours to match decor and a luxurious feel. Easy to use controls and all packed into a convenient size. Bit more expensive than some but worth it.

Great all round
Bought to replace a broken radio alarm. Definitely overkill for that purpose but it does radio alarming really well (2 very configurable alarms) and besides that it looks and sounds great.

Compact but with large easy to read display
Auto brightness mode is in several steps not a smooth adjustment so often when the room is at a certain light level it cannot decide which setting to choose so flashes between brightness levels and is sometimes too dim when there is still light in the room, otherwise works quite well and is nice and dim in a dark room but still easily readable, the minimum brightness in auto mode is lower than the manual low setting. Controls are simple and easy to use although would be nice to set a specific weekday, have more alarms and be allowed to turn the alarm volume lower as level 9 is too loud for me, alarm does fade up to the volume set and sleep timer fades radio down Sound is great in the normal setting when the volume is higher than level 15, When volume is reduced lower the loudness compensation adds too much upper bass boost so the sound becomes muffled and voices on radio are hard to understand, this gets worse the lower you go and you can't disable the loudness compensation like on other models. doing some measurements and listening found the eq best set to jazz for levels lower than ~14 or set the my EQ to -2 bass +2/+3 treble for lower levels this applies to both the speaker and headphone output. The upwards tweeter is a great addition and helps add clarity as the main driver is rear facing. Headphone output is on the back (would be better if it was easier to access on the side?) works great with a nice smooth volume control and no low level hiss, stereo on all sources. Fm and DAB perform near equal to the original petite i find performance good with the wire antenna just hanging down the back of the bedside table, would be better if presets worked like on the revival uno. Bluetooth works great as expected and supports AAC codec Shows track name etc on bottom row of the display As others have commented the power adapter does produce some high frequency noise the radio does also but only if charging a phone using the full 1amp output, i haven't found this a problem as the power adapter is under the bedside table and i wouldnt want to charge a phone overnight anyway. Powering other lower power devices i havent had this issue. I would also rather the dc input connector be streight out rather than a right angle type as it often gets in the way if moved and cant be placed too close to a wall anyway because of the rear speaker One last suggestion would be to add stereo connection for if you had a pair, one either side of the bed that would be amazing Overall a fantastic unit and it is great to see that roberts have released it in more colours since i purchased mine

Well made piece of kit, but...
Took me far longer to understand how this works than I anticipated. Processes rather tortuous, eg changing a preset station should be a press-button job rather than having to search for the new one. A remote control would help! But it now does the job I wanted it to do!

Very pleased with my purchase
Excellent functions for a bedside radio. We particularly like the auto-dimming display. Reception good on DAB and FM. Styling is appealing, and there was a good selection of colours.

Love love LOVE
Best item I’ve bought in the past two years. I have it set permanently in the background on low with virgin smooth… reliving my late teens/early twenties. The blue colour blends into my bedroom perfectly! Sound quality spot on. Crystal clear with no crackles.

Bedside clock
Overall I am happy with the radio as a bedside radio. I like the display, showing the time, and other information below. A couple of minor points. The display can appear blanked in the evening as the Auto light dimmer has over dimmed the display. Due to its size, this has resulted in a small speaker which at times can be tinny. As a bedside clock, the display is important. It would be nice with a larger speaker.
