Good for 2 years until the lid broke
Pleased with this kettle for 2years in use, but the plastic lid suddenly broke and no replacements are available. Unacceptable that I now have to buy a replacement kettle when only the lid is broken. Kettle only lasting 2 years is not good enough

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Bosch TWK4P440GB DesignLine Kettle - Stainless Steel 409/1228: The kettle is not insulated, so will become hot when boiling water.

The mesh is very fine metal
The kettle when empty is just over a kilogram, obviously it is heavier when it contains water, i would say it is probably not the lightest of kettles as it is quite large in size compared to some others. It feels sturdy and is easy to pour
