I bought this as i only wanted a dining set for a small space, it was easy to assemble although some of the joints were a little bit rough with split wood. It looks more expensive than it was.

Yes, the gaps between the legs at the ends is wider than the 41cm width of the chairs. An extra chair would technically fit. However, if you were also still seating people along the two sides as well, there would not be room for those sat at the ends to comfortably fit under the table as well as them too.
