I bought this feeder to replace an older one that had become unreliable and am very pleased with it. It is better designed than the old one except in one respect - see below - and more compact. It's powered from the mains but uses batteries (not included) as back up. Programming the settings for timing and number or portions is a bit laborious but once it's done, it's done. The visual display is excellent. I would have given five stars except that I had to take the feeder back to Argos when I couldn't get the lid off to refill it for the first time. Luckily the helpful Argos person was able to break off a tiny bit of surplus plastic inside the lid (a manufacturing defect), and solved the problem.

It’s good it does what it says. I use it to portion my cats food. She loves her food and eats it all at once. I replaced the bowl with one of her own just because I thought she would prefer it. Lots of parts to clean.

I bought this a few weeks ago, and it's been great. I've set it up with a message to call my cat at each feeding time. It took him a few days to get used to it, and he was very scared of the noise that it makes at first. He's a jumpy cat though, so I think most pets will be fine

Game changer. Can leave cat alone for a couple of days and know she is being fed. Set up is straight forward, appreciate the level of detail you can customise it to (up to about 5 feeds, maybe more with different volumes pf feed). My cat only eats dry food so this is perfect. Recommended.

I bought this a month ago — everything is working as expected, and I’m really happy with it. The only thing is that to amend a setting, you have to go through all the previously configured settings, which can be a bit inconvenient. Other than that, I’m very satisfied with my purchase!

What a great product. It has a lovely design and looks great in my kitchen. I love the features and functionality. Bought this to cover a couple of days. My cat was terrified of it and ate nothing - food was everywhere when I got back as a consequence. It took 5 days to get him eating again. The rubber mechanism taints the food so that it is not palatable. I am very disappointed that such an expensive product was a waste of money.

The supplier has confirmed. The Petlibro 3L Granary automatic feeder can last on batteries for up to 4-6 months with typical daily use. It is recommended to change the batteries every 4-6 months to ensure optimal performance.
