This has been a good price for Microsoft 365 family even though I got swayed by the McAfee bundle. Microsoft 365 will eventually replace all of the software suite bundles that I have purchased for my various laptops all of which need an annual re subscription on small but annoying fees because functions like Office stop working. Since my Argos purchase I have been advised not to use McAfee as it is prone to intrusive McAfee pop-ups demanding upgrades et cetera the very thing that drives me nuts! I am told that Microsoft defender, which is already bundled with Windows 11 Pro, is more than adequate and runs seamlessly with Microsoft without any intrusion on your system so I will be sticking with that. For the future, I would love to see Argos offering Microsoft 365 family on its own without the McAfee for a slightly lower price, Bear in mind that in the fine print when you have to resubscribe to 365 it will be done at the current MS price not at the price at which you bought the software. Microsoft use a little bit of Flim flam here giving the impression you will upgrade at your ‘ongoing’ price. This is not true. It seems that as you approach subscription day Microsoft will send you a reminder as long as you do not use the auto subscribe and you can use that prompt to go back to Argos or any of the other suppliers who hopefully will be discounting at that time

You cannot buy two Microsoft 365 Family subscriptions for 6 people and McAfee for 5 devices to get a 2-year consecutive license. Each Microsoft 365 Family subscription is tied to a single email account, and purchasing another subscription using the same account will only extend the expiration date of the existing subscription by one year.

Yes, the Microsoft 365 Family 6 People & McAfee 1 Year subscription can replace an existing Microsoft 365 Personal subscription. If you cancel your Personal subscription and continue with the Family plan using the same Microsoft account, your OneDrive files and email will remain intact. You may need to sign in to activate Office again, but there is no risk of data loss or service interruption. The Family plan will automatically transition to the new plan when it renews, and you won't be charged until then.
