After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Bosch BFL523MB0B 800W Built In Microwave - Black: Yes, this is correct. The 3-pin plug goes into a socket and the wiring is connected on the inside of the microwave oven.

Having checked I can see this requires an aperture size of H44, W39, D66cm for the microwave to be installed.
