Drive shaft bad design
I’ve now gone through two cleaning pods, and both have failed in the same way after about a year of use (need order a third one). The drive shaft that connects to the razor head wears down to the point where it can no longer drive the cleaning pump. The material used for this component is clearly too soft—the top simply rounds off with normal use. What’s especially frustrating is that there are no spare parts available, so the only option is to replace the entire unit. At the current price, that makes this a very expensive piece of equipment to maintain over time. Overall, this feels like a design flaw rather than normal wear and tear. I expected much better durability for the cost, and unfortunately, it’s left me quite disappointed.

My old shaver cleaning pod was a number of years old , I had to replace it .I looked around and found it as easy with Argos to replace like for like. Now messing around.Over all a Great experience and so easy.

Razor looks like new
Your razor looks new after using this, I could never get my razor as clean as this, I even put my old razor in to the liquid, it came out so clean. I wont use water to clean my razor, I use this after every shave.

Turns cleaning of shaver into a minor performance and although a rinse under the tap works also, the cleaning pod is a handy enhancement which lubricates at the same time and l was pleased with the result. It is an additional cost, and the fluid needs buying periodically but worthwhile overall.

Messy when locking and loading. Must live on bathroom counter, vulnerable to accidental spillage. However it does a very good cleaning job. Quite expensive

Very effective cleaning makes up for the price
After weighing up pros and cons regarding buying a clean pod vs running and rinsing under tap water, I decided to go for an authentic pod- Pros- Quick/Clean with confidence/less damage /has reasonable life 2-3months per pod based on usage I think / hygienic/ Viewable Cons-Pricey but watch out for deals - if one buys a few together.

All Philips shavers with a small hole in the centre of three pentagonal shaving heads can be cleaned with the Philips Quick Clean Pod.
