Great mop; a few niggles, but overall very happy
There are so many things that are good about this product. It's sleek, nicely built, maneuverable, quick to heat up, comfortable operating trigger. The quick release pads are great however they can be a little more fiddly to apply than shown in the demo video, especially when installing the carpet glider (bought separately). I also hurt my hand several times to begin with trying to remove the water tank. The tank is initially quite stiff and has I pulled it up it resisted then gave way quickly and I caught my hand on the pointy cable tidy. Got the hang of it now, thankfully, so no longer an issue. The cable length is just a tad short in locations in the house. I've got around it but little things like this have led to 4 star instead of 5. Overall its a great product and I am pleased with it.

Easy to use
After buying several steamers with around 10 different accessories, I decided to keep it simple this time. My last 2 steamers lasted about 12 months so I am hoping that my new approach of a simple steamer will pay off. So far I like this Karcher SC2 - it is lightweight, easily manoeuvrable and quick to heat up and steam.

I’ve just had new floor laid so decided to upgrade my steamer as well. So happy i did. Not only does it heat up super quickly it also only leaves minimal wetness on the floor unlike my last more triangular shaped one. Wish it came with and additional floor cloth but I’m coping great with just the one

The Karcher SC 2 Upright Steam Cleaner will indicate when the cartridge needs to be replace via the indicator light.
The indicator light flashes red 1 hour before the run time expires.
When the run time of the decalcification cartridge is exhausted, the indicator light flashes quickly.
The pump switches off automatically (no water steam) to prevent damage to the device.

Hello Cher. The cloths to the Karcher SC 2 Upright Steam Cleaner are washable - however do not use a liquid softener as this will affect the ability of the cloth to absorb water. They can be washed up to 60degrees wash and can be tumble dried.

This is mainly designed for all types of sealed flooring including carpets. You could potentially use on your mattress or sofa however, this is not suitable for clothes. With regards to your sofa I would check with your retailer if it is safe as this would be dependant on the fabric.
