Beware new pickup procedure
I bought tHis unaware of the new "system" to collect orders, which is not fit for purpose. Luckily there was only on other person there, having the exacr same problem (her proof of purchase stuf failed to print as well) so not "my" problem. Thiers. The bands themselves are short, but fine.

Perfect and great value
It looks sleek and modern, I love the unique design of the lever on top and it works perfectly. Perfect for someone who has got the baking bug now that Bake Off is back on the telly!

Convenient size, but wobbly bottom!
Ive had this little mixer many times, lovely for mixing up cream or small amounts of buttercream, whisking eggs for an omelette - saves me getting out my huge Kenwood Chef XL. Its a powerful motor but unfortunately wont stand up on its end when you pause mixing, its very slightly rounded and wobbles. Why rounded? Its not necessary.

Just Ok
I found this quite cumbersome, a little on the heavy side and quite awkward to use, don’t get me wrong it whips ok, but definitely took longer than I expected &didn’t sit naturally in the hand. Also the positioning of the speed dial/ on off is in a position that makes it hard to get to if you need to stop it quickly. I found it better in cream than cake mixture as I felt like it wasn’t really creaming it properly or as well as a manual whisk. The speed is quite fast but yet it did take quite a bit of effort for whipping cream to thicken. For tbr price it’s ok, and it will do the job, it just won’t do it really well. I wouldn’t buy again or recommend.

Great replacement.
Bought this to replace my years old hand mixer which had finally died, This little hand mixer is so much easier than taking out a stand mixer when just doing small bakes Power seems fine, speed is variable.

Hello there,
The manual for the Cookworks Basic Hand Mixer sets the maximum continuous work time at 5 minutes.
Unlike some other budget models, it does not have a built-in sensor that automatically shuts the machine off. Instead, the 5-minute limit is a safety rule you must follow yourself to prevent the 200W motor from overheating and permanently breaking.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hello Rosa,

Hi
Cookworks Basic Hand Mixer
Yes, the Cookworks Basic Hand Mixer can be used to mix and whip cream. This function is one of the standard uses for this appliance, which is designed for various mixing tasks in baking.
The hand mixer usually comes with flat beaters and often includes a "turbo" boost button which helps with whipping tasks.
Tips for whipping cream:
Use the correct attachment: Ensure you are using the wire whisk or the flat beater attachments, as these are designed to incorporate air needed for whipping.
Use a high speed: The best results for whipping cream are achieved using a high speed setting or the turbo function to quickly incorporate air.
Keep ingredients cold: For the best and fastest results, ensure your cream is very cold, and consider chilling your mixing bowl and beaters beforehand.
Avoid overmixing: Stop mixing as soon as the cream forms stiff peaks, as overmixing can turn it into butter.
