Great mini chopper
Bought this mini chopper recently and have already used it to make a dinner party starter. It did exactly what I needed. Excellent for blending and chopping up the starter ingredients. The blade guard was very useful. Really good product easy to use and efficient just what I needed.

Not really fit for purpose
I bought this to finely chop garlic and ginger for freezing. The blades do not fully reach the bottom of the container leaving a 20cm gap. If the food is slightly damp as is in my case, the food sticks to the bottom and does not get chopped. if you pick it up and shake it the food then sticks to the sides. I suppose it might work with dried nuts etc but this is not what I bought it for. inconsistent results so not really fit for purpose in my opinion..

Simple, low-cost, and effective - but a bit fiddly
Have been using this for a few months now to chop vegetables finely to be added to meal prep boxes. Works pretty effectively as long as you chop the vegtables to an appropriate size and don't overfill the container before starting. The capacity isn't huge but for the low price it's decent. My only gripe would be that it can be a little difficult to empty the container, especially with more moist foods that you need to scrape out of the container, mainly due to the metal spindle at the center of the bottom of the container, which the blade attaches to. The blade can be removed, but that spindle is part of the container, so it's a little fiddly trying to get all the food out. Also, it can sometimes leave a few chunks that haven't been chopped. Otherwise, great product for the price and would recommend for smaller chopping tasks!

Hello Magz.
After contacting our suppliers they have advised for the Cookworks CH1117BN Mini Chopper - Black.
The mini chopper is designed to finely chop herbs and spices. Unlike a pestle and mortar, which crushes ingredients, the chopper uses a cutting action, so the results will differ.
