About this product
The Blueair Blue Pure 511 Air Purifier brings you compact, powerful air cleaning that fits seamlessly into smaller spaces. Using HEPASilent technology, it removes 99.97% of airborne particles down to 0.1 microns, including viruses, bacteria, pet dander, pollen, mould and dust, whilst the carbon filter tackles light household odours. It purifies a 16 square meters room in just 12.5 minutes or covers up to 38 square meters in 30 minutes, making it ideal for bedrooms, home offices, or cosy living spaces. The 360-degree air intake delivers impressive performance from a footprint of just 20cm by 20cm.
At 24dB on low speed, it's as quiet as a whisper and Quiet Mark approved, so it won't disturb your sleep or concentration. The air quality sensor with a 3-colour indicator shows real-time air quality, while auto mode adjusts fan speed to maintain optimal conditions. One-button speed control with three settings offers flexibility, and the washable grey pre-filter catches larger particles before the main filter. Using 16 watts, it consumes minimal power, and the 1.95m cable provides placement flexibility. Filter changes are simple, and it includes a 2-year manufacturer's guarantee.

Customers Say
Quiet and effective air purifier that improves air quality and allergy symptoms. Easy to use but some find touch controls tricky. Lacks air quality monitoring and automatic modes. Some report odors and durability issues.

Pretty good for the price.
I think it has improved air quality, though slightly wishing I'd paid more for the version that tests it. The low setting is quiet enough to leave it on. The buttons aren't buttons but touch-sensitive areas. My fingers might have fairly thick skin at the ends but I have to moisten my finger very slightly but not too much for them to work. Also be aware that the lights switch off after a few seconds.

Well made
Quite, covers bedroom 1 with good variable airflow and seems efficient.

So far, very good.
I have only just switched them on. So, it's a bit soon to give a full rating but, the lowest setting is almost inaudible. All other topics need longer, to review.

Returned item odor
Not for me, bad odor even after days of use. Noisey fan if anything over 1st level. I really wanted it to help to filter out stuff, it just circulated it more

Great product
Does a wonderful job of cleaning the air. Bought after seeing how well our daughters one worked at filtrating the air over Christmas as my husband usually struggles with the pine smell of the Christmas tree and he suffered no reaction due to this product.

Rubbish only worked for a day
Bought on the 2nd of June switched on selected the setting by pushing the fan icon and everything worked. It was really good so ordered another one and a filter. Tried for a second time it switched on the setting lights flashed but didnt remain on a setting but I could tell it was on 2. It wouldn't let me change the settings as the fan button didn't respond. Only way to switch off was at the mains. Cancelled my order and will return this one.

Hello Fran,
The supplier has advised for the Blueair Blue Pure 511 Air Purifier: This product does not have a air quality light, this is available on the smart enabled models only.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello Denis,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Blueair Blue Pure 511 Air Purifier: Air purifiers often refer to square meters rather than cubic meters primarily because it is a more familiar, consumer-friendly metric that aligns with how people measure and describe the size of their homes. While air purification is technically a three-dimensional process (volume), using square footage offers an easier, standardised benchmark for room capacity. If the item is being used within a standard UK home then the variance within ceiling heights wouldn’t materially change the effectiveness of the unit when using square meters as the measure.
Thank you for using Q&A.

The manual advises:
"Place the air purifier on the floor or a stable surface to prevent tipping. "
So as long as you're certain the table it's placed on is stable and the product won't tip, this is fine.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hey Caz,
I can advise that the filter needs to be replaced every 6-9 months.
Thanks for using Q&A.
