Bought this SIM card thinking it was a pay as you go but it seems it was a big bundle, not having a clue what that I’m told it will cost me £2 every time I use it whichI can make as many telephone calls in one day as I like when I want to is ring my husband to come and pick me up on the rare occasions I go somewhere on my own which makes me an infrequent user.

When you buy a £10 Top-Up voucher from a reputable company (Vodafone) through a reputable company (Argos), you may assume, indeed take for granted, that you do not need to close-read the small print in case this inadvertently ties you into a long-term commitment.
In fact, having handed over your credit card details, this is what happens on the Vodafone receiving end: “You may think you have simply purchased a £10 Pay As You Go Top-Up Voucher, because that is what we call it. We have various products that call themselves bundles, rolling contracts, Pay Monthly etc., but you did not choose one of those. But we now have your card details and will simply use them to bill you for another top-up after a month, and another, and another. This will happen automatically, utterly contrary to what you thought you purchased.”
This really is true. I had noticed a review mentioning this, but had assumed it was for another product - after all, how can a product, so clearly labelled one thing, take your payment details and tie you to an ongoing contract? Do you check for this when you buy anything clearly marketed a one-time purchase?

Bought this voucher as I had to with a large button phone for my mother.
Sales person said if I opened the phone box I couldn't send back, so I returned it, shame as I needed to look at it.
So tried to return £10 Vodafone voucher and I wasn't allowed. Said I could within the hour, but Argos said no.
Not happy at all. Lost £10.

This is suitable, calls to the top up line or general Vodafone customer services will be free on Vodafone numbers.
No, the Top-Up Voucher does not automatically change to a monthly contract. You can choose to auto renew the top up but you are not tied to any contract.
In regards to the Vodafone £10 Pay As You Go Top-Up Voucher;
Top up credit does not expire, it's the SIM you need to keep active with regular chargeable activity or top up, it is recommended this is done every 90 days.

I can advise the top up does not include roaming in EU countries you will have to pay extra for this or purchase a Pay as you go Plus Extra for you make an international call/text, roam abroad.
