About this product
The LX25 can shred 6 sheets per pass into 4 x 37mm cross-cut particles, so you can be sure that your confidential documents have been shredded securely. The LX25 features a safety lock which prevents the machine from being accidentally activated. This paper shredder will shred continuously for up to 3 minutes before requiring 30 minutes to cool down. This shredders cutters will not only shred your documents, but can shred staples, paper clips and credit cards too. The LX25 features a 11.5 litre bin with a lift-off-head.

Shredder working well for light domestic use
So far so good. Have been busy shredding a small mountain of paperwork. The bin is not huge and needs regular emptying so as not to clog the blades but this helps ensure you don’t too much in one go and overheat the motor. Take regular breaks and all is fine so not ideal if you need to do a lot of shredding in one session. I bought some fellowes oil to keep the blades lubricated too which I’d recommend as a small price to hopefully prolong the life of the shredder.

Disappointed
I have a ProAction shredder that’s many years old and is a bit slower and noisy. I bought this one to replace it, but to be honest I’m not happy with it and if I hadn’t used it I would take it back! Yes I admit, it is quieter but if I shred about 8 to 10 lots of 3 or 4 sheets it packs up and turns off for half an hour. I had about 100 sheets to do and did the majority on good old faithful proaction which only turns off if you use continuously for 20 minutes or so!
