The Philips AZB798 is a proper all-in-one boombox that brings together every way you've ever played music - from Bluetooth streaming and DAB radio to CDs, cassette tapes, USB and FM. If you want a single system that handles your vinyl-era mixtapes, your CD collection, and your phone's playlists without swapping devices, this does exactly that. It's genuinely portable thanks to battery power (6 batteries, sold separately), so it goes wherever you need sound - kitchen counters, garden parties, or workshop benches.
The stereo speakers deliver 12W of clear sound with enough volume for a room or outdoor space without distortion, and there's a headphone socket when you'd rather keep things personal. You can connect via Bluetooth for wireless streaming, plug in USB devices directly, or tune into DAB and FM stations for radio. It works with iPods and CD-RW discs too, so pretty much any format you throw at it works. Ok but annoying little faults in the presentation
Nice product, but badly presented for three minor reasons. One, it stated " No mains lead included" but when opened - it had a suitable lead, so very Confusing. Two, you need one ( no tte: not two!) small battery to operate the remote control device, yet this WASN'T included when you buy it! Luckily I found one, and could use it. Or otherwise I could not complete the set up and use the product at once... Then three, when first setting up the DAB radio, notes given were so vague. So I did it badly, and then found nothing on the Presets. As it doesn't tell you how to do it first time properly or how you can update this feature. So I will now have to put in twenty stations all by hand and good luck, if I want them now. Pretty poor as Phillips as a brand, is not normally bad, but generally very good value and well thought out with good instructions included. Shame on them.

I bought this three days ago, I use it mostly for dab and Spotify, it is blue tooth, sound is good, certainly loud enough for the kitchen, bedroom etc, it is light weight, maybe a bit plasticky. Tape deck, i dont use but its there, ive heard its a bad tape deck. You cannot record from cd to tape etc. It has a sleep timer but no wake up timer. The volume control i hate! Bit fiddley. Bit pricey for the item, buts its still a phillips, so shouldn't be too bad, time will tell.

I bought this last week and I'm so happy I did! It basically plays anything and everything! The only thing it doesn't play is vinyl records and you could still connect a player to it using the jack lead! Old school cassette player is awesome and it's simple to use with fantastic sound. Gloriously portable too! Great purchase 👌
