Good, but not perfect.
I bought this as a replacement for an 11-year-old De'Longhi microwave, which was essentially the same model. It is big enough to accommodate a large dinner plate, or casserole dish. Although nominally the same power rating as the older model - 900W - it heats food quite a bit quicker. So you do need to adjust your timing. Another improvement is the knob that's used to set the timer in steps of 10 seconds: this one increments the timer much more easily than the older version, which was much too sensitive. On the down side, as other reviewers have noted, it is very noisy in operation - not a deal breaker, but something to bear in mind. Also, it's annoying that the feet slip on a standard kitchen work surface when you open the door, unless you use your other hand to prevent it. I solved that problem by sticking bits of gaffer tape to the feet. Another niggle is that although the 'quick start' button gives 100% power in steps of 30 seconds for each press of the button, you can't increase the time by further steps of 30 seconds once cooking has commenced, something the older model allowed. Finally, the microwave simply beeps too much: 4 beeps (not 3, as it says in the user manual) when the time is up; and it even beeps when you open the door - why, for goodness sake! It's nothing too serious, but just a bit unnecessary! Overall, though, I still give it four stars out of five because the plus factors considerably outweigh the minuses.

Quickly learnt the best uses of this new, smart and practical microwave. Looks neat and works very well. Makes me realise how out of date my old one was. Highly recommend.

Useful and good sized microwave.
Bought for a family member. Works well but Is mainly used for defrosting and reheating. Large capacity inside which is able to fit a large Denby plate.

Good value
I bought this for my 94 year old mother and she can use it easily. It has a flat base plate so no turntable to keep trying to fit back on and a good visual display that she can see easily.

Having checked the installation instructions, they advised the following:
This microwave is designed to be free standing and is not intended to
be used ‘built in’ or in a cabinet.
Select a level surface away from televisions, cookers and other heat
producing appliances.
Ensure adequate ventilation and allow a clearance of
5cm at each side of the oven
20cm clearance above the oven
10cm at the rear of the oven
The minimum installation height is 85cm
Ensure that the cable is not close to any or sharp or hot surfaces and where it is likely to cause a trip hazard.

The internal opening is W34, so yes you should be able to put a plate in without having to tilt it.
