About this product
When there's a curious crawler making their way towards the stairs, you need a barrier that actually stays shut. This pressure-fit gate clicks into place without drilling holes in your walls or doorframe. The four-point frame grips securely once positioned, and the self-closing mechanism means it swings shut behind you automatically. Double locking keeps determined little hands from figuring out how to open it, while the one-handed lift handle lets you pass through with a washing basket or toddler on your hip.
The U-shaped power frame creates a solid pressure fit across doorways or at the bottom of stairs, with indicators showing when it's properly secured. It closes itself every time, so you won't wonder if you remembered to shut it. The double lock system reassures that even the most determined explorer won't open it. It opens both ways for doorways, or one way when fitted at stairs. Adjusts to fit openings from 76 to 82cm (expandable to 117cm with extensions, sold separately). The 76cm-high step-over bar has a wide walk-through section that doesn't feel cramped when carrying things through.

Fits well, easy to install. Little bit tricky as you have to lift the gate up to open it but I guess that does make it harder for a child. All round a decent stair gate. It doesn't slam like others we've had too.

Good temporary stair gate.
Works well as a temporary stair gate especially if you don’t want to drill it to the wall. Reasonably secure but don’t put too much pressure on it or it might come off. I would recommend using a small pad to protect the wall and paintwork.

Great stair gate
Bought this for the bottom of the stairs to stop our dog going up when the grandchildren come to stay. Easy to put up and take down when not in use. Auto close feature also really good.

Good, but be sure you really want self-closing
The gate works really well and is very easy to set up. However the auto-closing is a mixed blessing. It means you can’t really leave it open when the little one isn’t in, or if you need to carry something past it in two hands.

No this fits openings from 76 to 82cm as standard. Since your stairway opening is 91 cm, you will need extensions to make it fit properly.
