Absolutely awful to build and poor instructions
Took a professional 6 hours to build, instructions were so poor. Hard to cover the sand pit with the top section as it doesn’t slide well through the gap (gets stuck) and sand pit area is awful. I wouldn’t recommend this product sadly.

It's not a sand pit
We bought this back in March for ours son's 1st birthday. Whilst it's a lovely toy wooden play boat, it was difficult and time consuming to put together (not ideal when you have small children), the unit hasn't held together well with loads of the planks coming loose after play and our biggest disappointment is that the sandpit has to be removed after playing. You also have to treat the wood yourself. It doesn't have a waterproof containment for it so you either have to take the sand in and out each time or leave it there and it will get wet when it rains, regardless if you pull the boat cover over or not as there isn't a base for the sandpit area. Really expensive for what it is and poor quality and poor design.

Returned item
I returned this item due to having to drill holes in certain parts. All holes should have been predrilled.

Awful falling apart
Bought this a month ago and it's already falling apart it's like the screws are not long enough to hold the product together I would not recommend to anyone

Don't waste your time
Within a week of construction the screws started snapping. This happened with no playtime on the boat as I was planning on painting before filling with sand. The idea is great but execution poor. Returned and Argos refunded without hesitation.

Great when its built
Never before have i had to build something so complicated, no pilot holes, you need to measure yourself and also need a right angle thingy... i had to ask someone else to build it for me There was 1 piece missing and its taken about a month for them to process sending it out, luckily it was just for the steering wheel But my daughter loves it so worth all the many struggles

Two happy pirates
Got for my little boys 4th birthday and my nieces 2nd and its a big hit with both. The construction is time consuming and fiddly but once you get going it's fine. Took us 2hrs the 2nd time round. Some of the pieces didn't have numbers however and measurements where a little off but you cant tell with the end result.
