It is recommended to fill the burner to the top at the start of every new use. Basically filled to the point where you can see the fuel in the chamber and it isn’t dropping down in level.

Are you asking about real timber logs, in which case the reply given is absolutely correct?

But perhaps you were referring to CERAMIC imitation logs? These might be okay as long as they are not on top of the burner itself? It might be worth asking again and specifying ceramic logs.

The Adam Bellini 3kW Bio Ethanol Stove - Black must not be placed on deep pile carpet or rugs. A protective mat MUST be placed beneath the fire in instances where the fire is to be positioned on a wooden, plastic or glass table (protective mat not supplied). A protective mat may be made of slate or marble, be a cast iron or stainless steel trivet, or a heat resistant fabric mat, which can be purchased from cookware retailers.
