A rich mid-century walnut aesthetic meets simple scandi looks. Making Loxley one of our favourite designs. This 2-door wardrobe shouts high end. Echoing the functional principles of those early modernists, our wardrobe offers both long and semi-long hanging from an authentically styled fixed wooden rail. Plus 2 soft close easy glide drawers on metal runners.
The external drawer styling, and shorter door are typical of the 20th Century period as are the circular turned wooden handles and classically styled plinth. Beautiful. Perfectly proportioned and practical.

Poor quality
Plastic pre installed inserts for metal dowels missing making hard to put together. Clips for back piece ineffective. Scratch on draw. Doors can’t be put straight.

Beautiful looking but poorly made with many issues
I bought this unit along with 2 parts of the same collection. It all went fairly well until I went to mount the doors and realised that neither of the drawers were aligned - something that shows too much tolerance in the manufacturing. This issue was present in all 3 units. One of the drawer doors had to be forcible shut too. The doors tolerance was off too and no amount of adjustment places them correctly to their outer walls or to eachother. These units look fantastic but are poorly made. I was super disappointed but Argos picked up the units and refunded me promptly.

It slots into place and is then screwed but have to admit this is the most disappointing part of an otherwise solid wardrobe, very thin and feels pretty unstable. Would probably have benefited from some additional bracing at the back or a thicker piece of MDF.

The MDF back panel fits securely into the grooves along the side panels.

Thanks for your query about the Loxley 2 Door 2 Drawer Wardrobe - Walnut.
The hanging rail goes the full horizontal width of the wardrobe's interior. It's not split into sections inside. (There is a drawer section on the bottom right hand side, so it's hanging space is shorter on that side, but it's not attached internally to any vertical divider).

The handles, hanger and legs are all solid oak.
The rest of the parts are made from MDF with oak veneer.
