About this product

Our fabric blocks 100% of light, though some light may come through edges depending on the curtain header, pole and its position.
Each panel has 20 eyelets with a 4cm diameter that fit standard curtain poles, and the pole itself isn't included. The lining is a cotton and polyester blend that adds structure and helps with the blackout effect, while the brushed cotton face softens beautifully with every wash. They're machine washable and tumble dryer safe, so keeping them looking fresh is straightforward. Creases from packaging can be removed with a cool iron. The classic check pattern works across bedrooms, living rooms, or anywhere you want to control light and add a cosy finishing touch.

This would be down to personal preference and the look of the fullness of the curtains on the pole you want. It is advised, where possible that each panel be nearly the width of the pole, without the finials.

It really would be personal preference depending on how full you want to curtains to look when they are pulled shut. You should aim for 1.75 to 2 times the width of the window for proper fullness.
