The TomTom GO Navigator gives you coverage across 48 European countries with a 6inch HD touchscreen and lifetime map updates that keep you current wherever you're heading. It handles the UK, Republic of Ireland, and full European driving, with quarterly Wi-Fi updates so you're not waiting around for long downloads. Traffic alerts let you know about roadblocks, accidents and jams at no extra cost, which means you can dodge hold-ups when there's a better way through. Speed camera alerts are included for the first year, giving you advance warning along your route.
The sat nav shows lane guidance so you know which lane to be in before complicated junctions, particularly useful on unfamiliar motorways. Voice command lets you control the device hands-free whilst you're driving. The eco route option helps you plan more efficient journeys. Points of interest display nearby petrol stations and restaurants when you need a quick stop. It comes with a windscreen suction mount, car charger, and USB cable in the box. Battery life is up to 2 hours unplugged, so it's worth keeping it charging on longer journeys.

A good replacement for our previous Sat Nav.
We have had this Sat Nav for a few weeks now and it works well, a step up from our previous TomTom which was ageing. The interface is straightforward and adjustable brightness helps a clear image. So far it has been accurate and not led us up blind alleys and is updated with road works and blockages giving alternative routes. We’re happy with this new device.

Cheap Skate Cop Out
All new Tomtoms require a smartphone to access live traffic. Previously they had a built in system. There's no point in buying it, you may as well just use your phone.

Great SatNav
I have always bought the TomTom SatNav and always got on well with it including the insurance cover. Feel like they only last a few years and trying to get it repaired has always been an issue. Having an issue with the WiFi traffic at mo with this new SatNav that's's why I've marked down by 1 star.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the TomTom GO Navigator 6 Inch Car Sat Nav: Yes, you can use this device without pairing a smartphone – with no smartphone paired you would be able to navigate & it would share speed camera locations.
Smartphones are only required for live notifications – live traffic information.

The TomTom GO Navigator 6 Inch Car Sat Nav does not have the "Record My Route" feature. However, it includes a "My Drive" feature that allows you to plan your route and view traffic before sending your chosen route to the sat nav.
