Picture shows the unit horizontally, diagrams show it vertically. So how fun it not be used horizontally?

The Argos Home Squares 8 Cube Storage Unit - Grey can only be used vertically, not horizontally on its side. The way the parts fit together and the manner in which the fixings hold them, they wouldn't be suitable for the unit if it was lying down.
