Works well!
Works well, simple to use and looks good. Has one major advantage over the cheaper model by the same manufacturer - it takes AAA batteries (supplied) not a button cell battery. Button cell batteries are harder to find and you need to unscrew a battery hatch to replace, no problems with the AAA batteries this takes.

Actual buttons!
I've had a lot of scales that have been frustrating in many ways. These ones are very simple but functional. Actual buttons, not touchscreen stuff that never works properly! You can turn them off rather than waiting for them to switch off after a few minutes. Easy to clean, sturdy. Not the prettiest item in the world, that's the one downside. But I'm happy :)

Great kitchen scales
I bought these kitchen scales to replace my previous Salter scales (which I had for 25+ years, so they lasted well!) These scales have a slightly larger surface area, which is helpful for when weighing things on larger plates - but the scales remain compact and neat in size. I like the fact that these scales use ordinary AAA size batteries because we usually have some of those spare in a drawer (whereas previous version had those round sort that I had to buy especially for the scales!) This model is definitely an improvement on my old model, but I was happy with the old model, so I'm very happy with this purchase!

Pretty good
I chose this model as it had an easy to clean surface, whereas my last Salter had a recessed display and ended up breaking due to a spillage. The LED display on this one is very easy to see and the buttons are easy to get to. The only drawback is that there is a bit of a lag, especially when measuring small amounts, I sometimes have to press it down a little, so it registers the odd gram here and there

The Salter Aquatronic Glass Digital Kitchen Scale does have an auto power-off feature. Auto switch off will occur if display shows 0 for 1 minute or the same weight reading for 3 minutes

Yes, you can. The supplier says: “If an item to be weighed is placed on the scales before power button is pressed and then the scales are switched on and you remove the item its weight will be shown as a negative reading.”

This measures either imperial and metric measurements and has a liquid measuring function. Grams/lbs and ounces are for measuring food whereas ml/fl.oz are for liquid measurements.
