Very pretty and a good deal, but has caveats
The lamp shade is difficult to install and you can't make too many mistakes with the velcro tape as you may end up tearing the paper lamp or crumpling it in undesired locations. The best part of the lamp is its aesthetics during the daytime. At night it does a good job at defusing the light nicely but you can always see two darker areas of the lampshade - one where the velcro strap is and another on the opposite side where two parts of the paper have been glued together - that makes it very difficult to fully hide these seams at night time when it's on. Another concern is long term maintainability as a light bulb replacement would mean fully undoing the velcro strap and going through the difficult process of reattaching it again. For the price I'm very happy with it, just make sure you select the correct LED light bulb and consider how much the shade will dim the light as well. Ah and also there is a label that is glued on, removing it may damage the paper so be careful when doing that - not removing it would mean more undesired shadows on the surface of the shade

Lovely but....
It's a really lovely lampshade but it's really difficult to put together. Myself and my husband had to do it. Unfortunately, it ended up with a slight tear whilst we were sticking the velcro sides together. I also dont love how prominent the seams are, which isnt shown in the images on the website, and I can see why!

You need to spin the ring round to find the clip. Opposite the bolted point.
I cannot work out how to open the ring either? I do not think that the suppliers answer was particularly informative either.

“ There is no fitting inside the shade, only has the metal ring which the cable(wire) can hang over the ring. ”

The Kura - white, has a separate metal ring with 4 shaped pins on it - this ring is supposed to go in the middle of the light fitting for the paper lamp to then rest onto these pins. The problem is, this ring is wider than the light fitting, so how would this rest or fit into the fitting?
On the opposite side to where the ring is fastened with a pin there is a little hook mechanism. This is where it opens.
The response from Argos is incorrect. The ring needs turned until you get to a part opposite the pinned opening, which then opens fairly easily. No hope when Argos dont even know how it hangs!
To open the IRON RING you will probably need to spin or turn the ring until you can see where it has a joint. You can then open the ring.
I think the confusion is around the instruction to OPEN THE IRON RING. That instruction needs more explanation, please.

The Origami 27x37cm Paper Easy Fit Shade- Sage Green has a standard fitting which fits on the light fixture, normally by unscrewing the bottom section of the light fitting, fitting the shade and then rescrewing the bottom section before inserting the light bulb.
