the best brand for tin openers. don't waste money on any other.

Does what it says to the tin!
Having struggled with irritatingly bad tin openers of various types, I checked reviews online for tips to help choose. This was the one consistently showing up as good, so it seemed to be the choice to make. It doesn't disappoint so far and hopefully that will continue. Smooth and easy to turn and the handles make it more comfortable than other ones I've tried. Very good.

Bought this for stepson's new flat. I've had my version for years, as has his father. No point buying a flimsy cheap version - this is great value for money in the long run.

Disappointing
I found this can opener very difficult to use.It mangled the tin I was trying to open and made a total mess of it.Wish I hadn’t bought it.Unfortunately I threw the packaging away before I used it so can’t return it.

Best can opener on the market ...
I bought this for a disabled friend as, having had one myself for years, I knew that it was easy to use and would probably last her for the rest of her life.

Can does the job well.
Bought to replace a much used tin opener which had become rusty and not suitable for using. This being stainless steel should be much better, also has a bottle opener as shown in product photo. Good soft but firm pad to use for opening also as seen in product photo. Overall satisfaction and in my opinion worth the price.

Hello Shell!
Thank you for your inquiry regarding the OXO SoftWorks Stainless Steel Can Opener.

Hi Howie! Thank you for your question. The OXO SoftWorks Stainless Steel Can Opener is known for its sturdy cutting wheel and cushioned handles. However, Fray Bentos pie tins are difficult to open. Many users have reported problems with standard tin openers.
The OXO SoftWorks can opener may work, but it may struggle with the Fray Bentos tin. If you open these tins often, you may want a more robust tin opener.
We hope you find this information useful.
Kind regards,
Anita - OXO Europe Team
