About this product
The Habitat Chesterfield Footstool gives you somewhere to put your feet up after a long day, and there's hidden storage inside too. It's upholstered in soft velvet that feels lovely against your skin, and the finish works with most living room or bedroom colours. The deep button tufting and turned wooden legs are classic Chesterfield touches that add character. There's a hinged lid that lifts to reveal 61L of storage space, so you can tuck away blankets, magazines or anything that needs a home. It'll support up to 150kg, so it's solid enough for everyday use.
The piped edges give it a neat, finished look while the foam-filled cushioning keeps it comfortable. Wooden feet lift it off the floor and add a bit of traditional style. Just dust it or wipe with a damp cloth to keep it looking fresh. Minimal assembly required, you just add the feet and you're done. The storage compartment inside measures 54cm by 54cm with 21cm of depth, that's plenty of room for storing bits and pieces you want out of sight but close to hand.

HUGE AND HEAVY
The first footstool arrived damaged due to bad tempered delivery drivers. The second was collected and a replacement delivered a week later with no drama this time. The actual footstool is large and heavy, my baby grandson decided to climb inside it and hide, and he's a chunky boy. You'd be able to store all manner of stuff inside this thing, it's that big. As for the height, I'm tall and I wanted a nice high footstool to elevate my legs. I feel I'd prefer to use this without the legs as it's a little too high even for me. Either way it looks very nice and matches perfectly the chair and sofa also purchased from Habitat. I did have a discount and also used some points so I got a decent price and when the replacement was delivered I was given a timed delivery slot which was worth almost £20. I want to mention also the two young lads who delivered my sofa before Christmas. They were absolutely amazing and did everything to get the sofa into my apartment, which was no mean feat. I've usually found Habitat/Argos delivery drivers to be very good, and these lads were brilliant.

Yes, the seat height is the same as the stool height. Once sat you may be a little lower on the seat due to the way the foam reacts to weight.
