Good Purchase
Got this at xmas to replace a 20 year old Garmin sat Nav! If you are not a techy person then it's not the easiest to set up in my opinion. Have only used once so far and it got me to my destination. The screen iand directions are very good. Overall more than satisfied with this product.

Nice unit but doesn’t update to find newer propert
Bought this as my own car’s navigation system was outdated and could not be updated. Liked the design of the Garmin and did all of the initial updates required. However, even when constantly updated the system could not recognise certain postcodes, this was frustrating and meant that I still had to use my phone to find certain places I needed to visit. As a result the Garmin became more of a hindrance rather than help.

The short answer would be that it would work, but they elaborate further.
The Drivesmart 53 would still be able to be used as a standard sat nav and it would allow the user to go from A to B with directions. However, it is missing one key features which is "vehicle dimensions".
With this option, the user can let the Sat Nav know the size of their motorhome and the Sat Nav will avoid any roads, bridges and narrow passages where the driver may have some difficulties driving through.
Their recommendation for motorhome Sat Navs are the Camper 895 and the Camper 1095.
