I recently bought this webcam to use when attending online work meetings and interviews. The resolution quality is brilliant and the set up is very straight forward. The speed is also excellent as the picture doesn’t freeze or slow down when in use.

Great quality webcam with built in dual microphone
It’s from Logitech so the quality is very good and as you would expect from this brand. Unpacked, plugged in and it worked straight away. True plug&play. Feedback from a friend on the other end of a Zoom meeting was the picture and sound was very good.

Lacking instructions
In the box was the webcan, the privacy screen and a multi-language leaflet about safe use (small parts, not for children, etc.) but NO instructions on how to use it. I went online and found a Logitech PDF that provided a web address for "webcam_howto" and that came up as "Page Not Found".:-( After trying to find my way round the website I eventually found a https://support.logi.com/ page for "Download C920s HD Pro Webcam" Once installed it created a desktop shortcut and I managed to get it working. That's why I only gave it 3 stars for ease of use. They should have a sheet in the box that gives a working web address for "how to" as initially I assumed it was just plug'n'play and would use Windows apps (it was found by device manager). There was no suggestion that you needed to install software.

I have looked into your question for this item Logitech C920S HD Pro Webcam 311/8607 and can see from the manual that the microphone can be switched off.
This can be done:
With the Webcam plugged in, disable the Webcam's Audio Component: - In Device Manager, under "Sound, video and game controllers", find the "HD Pro Webcam C920" entry. - Right-click on "HD Pro Webcam C920" and select "Disable". Confirm any prompts if required.
