Avoid, particularly if you have plasterboard walls
There are two serious issues. The brackets have a single screw and plastic plugs are provided. These may work on a solid wall but are no good for plasterboard. It's not possible to use proper plasterboard rawlplugs because the screws aren't long enough for them to open, and you can't subsitute longer screws because they're attached directly to the brackets. Also, as others have noted, the two halves of the pole do not fit together well and are impossible to tighten. I ended up putting the old pole back. Cheap product but not worth it.

Nice looking and simple to put together.
Nice curtain rail. Simple to set up, as it came in two pieces for the 240 length. I did notice wholes for connecting the two lengths weren't quite centered. The ends added about 18cm to total length. Need 3 wholes for putting it up.

This is not plain wood
This is made of wood, but the finish is a paper-like coating, that does not look good at all. In my product, it was damaged as well, suggesting that it would not wear well. I returned it as both faulty and unsatisfactory, and chose a metal pole instead, which I am happy with.

Good for the price
This curtain pole was quite cheap and the treads of the screws just spin in the holes that join the two poles together meaning it wasn’t very secure. We’ve had to put extra screws in to make it secure as it’s in our baby’s room.

Terrible quality product
After unpacking I screwed the two halves of the pole together with the supplied double ended screw only to find they would not tighten, wobbled and was not straight. The pre drilled holes were not even centred. Returning to shop.

Does the job
I like the colour and the finish of this and it looks good. Only quibble is that the join in the middle (it's in two sections as it's so long) is a bit slack. The support holds it in place, though, and it should be fine.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the 2.4m Wooden Curtain Pole - Natural: The length doesn't include the 2 end balls so it will be a bit longer with them fitted. The pole on its own is 2.4 metres long.

Although the colour of the wood pole is natural, it is varnished so it does already have a finish on it.
