About this product
The Nextbase 222X Dash Cam is the ideal solution for front and rear recording. Capture the road ahead in 1080p HD, with an integrated Rear Cam recording in standard HD to protect you from tailgaters and rear end impacts. It utilises a bright and clear 2.5 IPS screen for easy menu selection and playback. Intelligent Parking Mode records any bumps or knocks when your vehicle is left unattended (Nextbase Hardwire Kit Recommended). The Nextbase 32GB U3 Go Pack is recommended to record footage (sold separately).
The 222X uses a singular SD card to record both front and rear footage, offering up to 4 hours before the dash cam rewrites using loop recording. This means you will have access to the front and rear footage you need together. (Compatible with up to 128GB SD Cards).
The 222X uses the patented Click&Go PRO mount for instant setup and removal using just one hand. This allows for your dash cam to be wireless as it uses an integrated power connector through the magnets making it easier then ever to move your dash cam in and out of the car.
With the 222X using Intelligent Parking Mode, this informs the Dash Cam that your car is parked, and will immediately record any bump or physical movement of the car when left unattended. Requires Nextbase Hardwire Kit.

Avoid as does not work with other SD memory cards!
Avoid as if you make a mistake of buying NextBase 222x dash cam, you will also have to buy their branded memory card as this product doesn’t work with other sd cards. No warning on the box, just “be sure to use NextBase memory card sold separately”. It’s been sitting in the box since I bought it half a year ago as I realised my mistake only one month after the purchase when I finally needed to use it.

You do not need a laptop or computer to view the footage from a Nextbase 222X Dash Cam, but you cannot view it directly on a mobile phone using the official Nextbase app because the 222X model is not app-compatible.

The 222X has an internal battery for emergency uses, such as the loss of power during an incident. This will allow the camera to continue recording to the end of the clip before switching off. This internal battery has around 10-15 minutes of battery life. If you also use the Rear Camera added, the battery life is reduced due to the additional power draw.

The front mount is connected via cable to the 12V output in your car and the rear mount can be connected via cable to the front camera or to a separate power source.

This can be done using the supplied 12/24V Power Adapter. Or, you can use the Nextbase Hardwire Kit or OBD Kit for a more permanent solution, which assists with Parking Mode.
