About this product
These large vacuum storage bags keep your clothes protected from dust, moisture and mould while freeing up loads of space in your wardrobe or suitcase. They're brilliant for tucking away seasonal clothes, bedding or winter coats you're not using right now, and they can save up to 80% of space when you vacuum the air out. The double zip seal keeps everything secure and protects your things from spills or damp, so they stay fresh until you need them again.
Each bag measures 85cmx55cm and there are two in the pack, giving you plenty of room for bulky jumpers, jackets or spare duvets. You can compress the contents using your household vacuum cleaner through the valve, or just use the zip seal on its own if you prefer. The bags are reusable, so you can pack and unpack them as often as you like. They're great for making the most of storage space at home or fitting more into your luggage when you're travelling.
- Comprises of 55cmx85cm 2pcs.
- Compress contents using your household vacuum cleaner.
- Can be used with or without a vacuum.
- Zip closure.

Good storage
I recently bought these to store bedding etc and winter jumpers and they are good but you really have to double check the seal strip is joined together tightly otherwise you shrink them down and they start to reflate but overall really thick quality bag

Hello Sozzy,
The Argos Home Pack of 2 Large Vacuum Storage Bag:
For a double duvet, we'd recommend a jumbo-size vacuum storage bag rather than this large one.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello Andyroo.
Argos Home Pack of 2 Large Vacuum Storage Bag:
Each bag measures L85 x W55cms.
Thank you for using Q&A.
I think the bit missing from the Argos reply, is how you use the vacuum cleaner. After you have filled the bag, and sealed the open end, you unscrew the small round valve cap on the side of the bag, put your vacuum cleaner hose over the open valve until it sucks all the air out, then screw the valve cap back on to keep the vacuum sealed. They usually come with instructions or are sometimes printed on the bag. Hope this helps.
Hello Ash007,
The supplier has advised the following for the Pack of 2 Large Vacuum Storage Bag:
- Firstly you fill up and then seal the vacuum bag at the end.
- Unscrew the cap on the round air outlet/inlet.
- Making sure that your home vacuum can fit the air outlet, you slot it onto the outlet and then draw/pump the air out.
- Then you screw the cap back in to prevent air reentering.
I hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello Nanny Dete,
The supplier has advised the following for the Pack of 2 Large Vacuum Storage Bag:
If using the large vacuum bag, the open part is 58cm wide and the bag is 85cm in depth. If the two folded quilts are smaller than that size, they should be able to fit in this. Without knowing the thickness, brand, and type of duvet you have, we cannot give an exact answer.
I hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hi Sandie,
For storing a quilt we would recommend the jumbo size bags. For details please see the link below:

Thanks for using Q&A
You MUST use a VACUUM CLEANER HOSE TO SUCK OUT THE AIR of ANY Vacuum Storage Bags! This is HOW THEY ARE DESIGNED TO BE USED! There is NOT an effective way to remove enough air yourself, WITHOUT USING the hose of a vacuum cleaner to suck out the air! You will NOT be able to push out enough air yourself, as the reply suggested, or to keep it out and screw on the valve cap. The reply is ridiculous, will be completely INEFFECTIVE, and you risk breaking the bag! Hope this helps make things clear.
Hi Nisey,
To seal a Argos Home Pack of 2 Large Vacuum Storage Bag without a vacuum.
Fill the space bag almost all the way full, leaving a little place on top.
Press out as much air as you can and seal the bag almost closed, leaving a little path for the trapped air to release.
Press the bag against something until the air trapped inside the bag is released.
Now seal the bag closed.
Thank you for using Q&A
