Nicely designed. Great clip. Didn't realise it was a rechargeable light. Has a neat magnifyer in the middle of the halo. Needs to be mounted above to make the most of the light. 3 intensity settings.

I collected this on new years eve, its so good to clip it onto your bed, so you can read for a while and then go straight off to sleep, it has 3 light modes , while its clipped, you can move it to the position you want!

Bought so I could read at night. Brightness is good - I always use the stronger. Neck is adjustable and stays in position most of the time. Battery life seems good enough too

The Philips Clip Metal LED Touch Table and Desk Lamp - White is designed to be used with the clip. It may well be unstable if used freestanding especially if the flexible goose neck is adjusted.

The LED is rated for 15,000hrs. So even if you were using this for 2hrs a day, and using it EVERY day, this would last you 20 years. I really dont think you need concern yourself about ever needing to replace the bulb.
Sorry to disagree with Argos staff. Users cant change the bulb in this unit. It is very unlikely to break as LEDs last forever. The brightness is adjustable. The only reason I can see for changing the bulb would be for changing the colour. In my opinion, the mid white used is ideal for bedside use and perfectly acceptable for bench work on sewing or electronics, for example.
If colour is a concern, I would try one and return it if its no good.
