Seems okay so far
Purchased two of these lights a few days ago to use on bedroom headboards. They look good. Very strong clamp. Handy to have three levels of brightness. It will be interesting to see how often they need recharging.

I've used the light every evening so it is dependable. Although it is described as a clip light, the photograph shows the light to be free-standing which is misleading. We solved that by clipping it onto the edge of a kitchen counter top. The clip itself is very strong and needs a lot of welly to open it.

There is no locking mechanism. It is difficult to open at first as it has been closed so long the 2 rubber bits are stuck together. Just use a bit more force and it should open.
