Great lamp - good value for money
The strong clip was really helpful as i needed this to attach to a shelf next to me in my living room where there was no way of using a plug in lamp due to space and socket availability. Practical lamp, good quality
Bought this lamp last month to clip it to my bed headboard. Really useful to read at night as I can just point it to my book directly. I've had to charge it probably every 8 days, but you can use it while it charges so no problem at all.

Terrible
Hi, I already own the previous version of this which is fantastic. This version is a poor replacement. The clip isn't as good, the neck of it is weak and won't stay in position and the bulb isn't as nice either. Really disappointed as it was for my daughter as a bed reading lamp. It's a waste of time to be honest.

Find the part of the lamp where the clip is attached. It should have a hinge or a pivot point.
Use your thumb and fingers to gently press on the clip. Avoid using excessive force, as this could damage the mechanism.
As you apply pressure, slowly open the clip. If it feels stuck, try wiggling it slightly to loosen it up.

The Philips Clip Metal LED Touch Table and Desk Lamp - White is designed to be used with the clip. It may well be unstable if used freestanding especially if the flexible goose neck is adjusted.

The LED is rated for 15,000hrs. So even if you were using this for 2hrs a day, and using it EVERY day, this would last you 20 years. I really dont think you need concern yourself about ever needing to replace the bulb.
Sorry to disagree with Argos staff. Users cant change the bulb in this unit. It is very unlikely to break as LEDs last forever. The brightness is adjustable. The only reason I can see for changing the bulb would be for changing the colour. In my opinion, the mid white used is ideal for bedside use and perfectly acceptable for bench work on sewing or electronics, for example.
If colour is a concern, I would try one and return it if its no good.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Philips Clip Metal LED Touch Table and Desk Lamp - White: ''The opening allows up to 60mm, ideally however you would want it to be less so that more silicone rubber can grip onto the surface of the item.''
