Purchased a couple of weeks ago. It's much improved on earlier models. Heats quickly, no sticking & easy to clean. What's not to like? Toasties come out evenly crisped.

Best sandwich toaster I've had to date
Having read the reviews of other sandwich toasters I decided to buy this Salter model based on it's good reviews and it's features of being 'deep fill' and able to fit full size sliced bread on plates. I made the right decision as it does a great job on both accounts, quick to heat, easy to clean and sturdy handle as sometimes you apply pressure to seal your full toasties. Good value for money, nice looking quality appliance the feels as though it will last years.

Doesn't brown them enough for me.
Its ok but doesn't brown them enough for me and no idea why they all like this now and 30 minutes or so later might be just right. Husband says its ok. I get a better brown crispy toastie in the airfryer. I wished they had a setting for how well done you want them. I buy these and give them away due to my disappointments, but husband like this for his Kheema, curry, or bean toasties etc. They used to be awesome, browned well and quickly, also vey crispy too, but no more unless lavished with butter,

Having checked the instructions, they advise, after the pre-heat, carefully apply a thin coat of cooking oil to the non stick coated cooking plates. Rubbing it in carefully with a paper towel.

They are not removable and instead are screwed in. I dont think that counts as being easily removable for cleaning.
