About this product
Philips WarmGlow LEDs let you dim your everyday light down to the cosy tones of traditional lamps. So the more you dim, the warmer the light appears. This sets them apart from standard dimmable LEDs, which simply get less bright when dimmed. WarmGlow lamps are now also enhanced with a Colour Rendering Index of 90, which is comparable to natural light, helping you see your home's true colours.

Got a faulty pack / poor dimmer compatibility
The pack I've got is twice dimmer than described, with brightness slowly fluctuating in some bulbs, and each bulb has a heavy tint either towards red or green. Both brightness and colour differ between the individual bulbs slightly. This could be a dimmer compatibility issue, but the compatibility table on the Philips website claims this specific product should be compatible with all dimmers on the market and wasn't a problem with the previously installed bulbs. Beware that there are apparently no returns after 30 days at Argos even if the product doesn't function as described.

So often now bulbs aren't available in the supermarkets. Thank heavens for Argos! Good quality and in stock.

If you can still find these, buy them!
The key phrase you need to look out for is "dim to warm" or "warm glow", both of which have the special technology that changes the light colour as they get dimmer to replicate more closely an old tungsten bulb. It's a great evolution of the LED bulb, but for some nuts reason Philips have opted to remove these from their product lineup! Other manufacturers do them, but they are 5 times the price (literally) - or... cheap and low quality (which means low CRI, which refers to the quality of the light - lower means you get this flat one-dimensional light) - the Philips bulbs have an excellent balance of price point and quality.

Philips GU10 5w lightbulb
I ordered the bulbs for my new light fitment replacing neon unit. Bulbs give out adequate light, but prefer neon.

Hi There
Philips 3.8W LED GU10 Dimmable Light Bulb - 6 Pack
Having checked I can see the CRI is 90. I do apologise about that.
Thanks for using Q&A.
In relation to the Argos answer below, sorry but your supplier is not correct here. The package says 3.8W and the bulbs are indeed 3.8W. Not 3.5W. Small difference - maybe a typo? Not sure where the original questioner got 5W from, perhaps the product description has been corrected now? Or maybe got confused as the images also show text saying 50W, which is not their actual power output but the equivalent wattage of its tungsten counterpart.
Hello MichaelR,
The supplier has looked into this for us and has advised that the Philips 5W LED GU10 Dimmable Light Bulb - 6 Pack are 3.5W.
I hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q&A.
