Great purchase
I was a bit sceptical about this purchase but it's actually a really good hoover and the mopping feature is such a good bonus. It does a really good job and saves me a lot of time!

Not suitable for pet hair
I’ve had this vacuum less than a year, and it doesn’t Vacuum pet hair very well at all. I’ve cleaned the filters and tried to ensure everything is working correctly, but the robot keeps “spitting out” pet hair rather than vacuuming. I come home and there’s clumps of pet hair every where so I have to use a standard vacuum to clean up after it. It also misses bits regularly and the app is shocking to use. Considering I’ve had this product less than a year, it is not good value for money so I would suggest looking at other alternatives. Waste of money.

Bad app - good machine
Ive had this matrix for about a month - the robots actual cleaning performance is excellent, much better than my previous robot vacuum. But the app is sooo basic. Ive had 3 robot vacuums, the last being a Lubluelu. I changed to a Matrix as I've been a Shark customer for years and always been very happy with their products and good service. The app is bad; it has no real time view, no precise line mapping, no rug select rectangles … so much it doesn't have. I find it disappointing that Shark didn't match, or surpass the Apps of other far cheaper robot vaccs. Still a great cleaning machine.

Worst robot vacuum I've had. Coming from a eufy l60 the shark is probably the worst experience with a robot vacuum ever, first of all there's no feature to disable the extremely loud auto self empty station, second of all the app is just bad, and third there isn't half of the amount of features on this vacuum as there is on the eufy l60 and it's cheaper, overall very bad

If you have floors only, then the unit can perform both at the same time, if there is a mix of hard floor and carpets, the two functions can not be done at the same time.

When setting up the robot, it should begin with an explore run without the Vac & Mop 2-in-1 Dust Bin attached to generate a map in the app. After confirming the map's accuracy, you can add the carpet zones. This will ensure the robot steers clear of carpets and area rugs while it mops.
