Great sound with a small niggle
Only used for a few days but finding its a great little radio. Sound is fantastic for such a small radio and its size makes it ideal to carry around. The only drawback is the tuning system. What should be an easy task seems to be a hit and miss affair. I would not let this put anyone off purchasing but there is room for improvement.

Roberts DAB radio
Bought to replace an older Majority Portable DAB radio which was ok, it was rechargeable though and would not hold charge any more. Nice that this Roberts uses 2xAA batteries (I am using Duracell 2500mAh rechargeable and they seem to last well). This radio has DAB and FM but not microSD slot for MP3 which the Majority had, not a big issue though. It's larger and slightly heavier than the old Majority and feels more plasticy (there does look to be a 3rd party cover you can purchase online for it). Bulkier but still small enough to fit in pocket ok. The reception is noticeably better on this Roberts radio and I think that's the biggest plus over the Majority model I had, before I would often have to have radio out of pocket and carry in hand to get a good reception but with the Roberts no such issues. Controls are ok, there is lock function however I've not found that keys press easily on their own when in pocket so haven't needed to use lock much. Display ok, when wanting to change channels it does cut station name a little but once selected full name is visible. For me sound quality is good enough, music and voice are ok, volume adjustment is adequate and can hear ok when out and there is loud background noise from traffic. Overall I would recommend this if radio is what you want.

Excellent radio
I’ve resisted buying the Roberts Sports DAB despite having other Roberts radios that have proved to be excellent. The reason is that the Sports DAB requires replacement AA batteries and is not rechargeable like many of the other brands. However having made the switch this is without doubt a huge improvement on my other inferior devices with reception and sound quality being significantly better. Would be a 5 star review if it was rechargeable.

Yes! I use rechargeable aaX2 batteries and they last for over 11 hours at time. Sooooo much better tha ''normal" batteries that I used to buy and MUCH cheaper and convenient.
