Perfect
Old expensive iron packed in with a mountain of ironing to be done. Ordered around lunchtime and it arrived before 9am next day. Really impressed with the iron. At first thought it was a bit heavy, but, the little extra weight makes ironing a pleasure.

Sole plate doesn’t glide
Tried this iron out on low temp ironing, it didn’t glide over the fabric at all, had to pick it up and press - it’s a heavy iron so this wasn’t great. Also tried on cotton bedsheets on higher temp with and without steam. The steaming feature was great, both continuous and shot, but the sole plate still didn’t glide as it should, causing the fabric to ruck and create creases - exactly the opposite of what you want from an iron. In its favour, the cable is a good length but has no securing clip. Really disappointed. Returned for refund.

The manual does advise if you live in a hard water area, you should use distilled water (not chemically descaled or softened water).
Be advised that if you buy distilled water, check that it’s marketed as suitable for use in irons.

There is no proper place to store the cord around the iron. If you wrap it around the iron it is not very neat and tidy.

It just wraps around the iron there is no additional way to store the cord any other way.
