Sturdy iron
I bought this iron as my old one suddenly blew up on me ! I found myself straight on the Argos app to purchase another one. I bought this one based on the reviews and the price as it had 40% off. When I had ironed my laundry I commented that the iron felt a lot heavier compared to my previous iron. Husband lifted them both and said they felt around the same. I’m not sure on this but it seems heavier and bulkier to navigate. The one thing that did impress me was the constant steam coming out of it whilst using it. On My old iron I had to press the steam button to get a shot of steam each time I used it. The new one is far more superior to that. It has a good length cord which I had no issues at all with. It did glide over my clothes but just felt bulkier manoeuvring the iron. It preheated up in no time at all which enabled me to get straight on with my ironing after an u expected visit to Argos! It got the creases out of my laundry with no issues at all. The water tank is easy to fill and it’s better designed than my previous iron where the water would drip out. I would recommend this iron, I think I just need to get use to it after having my previous one for years. I hope this one lasts as long! It does look very sturdy and well made.

The manual does advise if you live in a hard water area, you should use distilled water (not chemically descaled or softened water).
Be advised that if you buy distilled water, check that it’s marketed as suitable for use in irons.

There is no proper place to store the cord around the iron. If you wrap it around the iron it is not very neat and tidy.

It just wraps around the iron there is no additional way to store the cord any other way.
