About this product
The Vax Steam Fresh Combi Classic is a proper multifunction steam cleaner that does floors and everything else. It heats up in just 20 seconds and gives you about 15 minutes of continuous steam from the 0.26l tank. The clever bit is the detachable handheld unit that clicks off in one go, so you can switch from mopping sealed floors to steaming kitchen surfaces, bathroom tiles, taps, windows and mirrors without swapping machines.
It runs on 1600 watts and has trigger-activated steam with variable control, so you decide when and how much steam to use. The angular floorhead reaches corners and edges, and the 7m cord lets you cover a good area without unplugging. Use water alone or add Vax cleaning solution for extra freshness. It works on sealed wood, tile, laminate floors, plus carpets and rugs with the right attachment. Included are a metal brush, small and large plastic brushes, window tool, cloth, scraper, concentration tool, grout brush, and detail nozzle. It weighs 3.7kg and has built-in overheat protection.

A warning
I purchased a steam fresh Combi steamer. I have been visited by and having a battle with carpet moths. I googled “ does steam kill moth eggs and larvae?”. The answer from AI was “yes”. I thought that was good as it would save me spraying chemicals around the home. So I did my online research being unable to find anywhere where I could go and see a steamer and talk to someone. I felt the Vax stem fresh combi steamer ticked all the boxes for me. It was compact, light, had attachments and I could use vax disinfectant which was a bonus. ( I liked the clean cheery colour !). So I purchased one. I looked forward to a week end of steaming . To emit steam one had to press the trigger. This has to be done very frequently. I did not realise that steam would not be emitted automatically once heated up, as in a previous model that I had had. Sadly I am of the age when I am living with arthritis and the frequent use of the trigger has triggered off my trigger finger . So I now cannot straighten my finger. I telephoned Vax to make sure that the steamer was functioning properly. Unfortunately for me this is not the right model to have and I wanted to warn others of the fact that it if they have arthritis it could present a problem . Just a warning!

Easy to use with no effort involved.
This is my 3rd vax Steam Fresh Combi, it does a great job of cleaning my tiled kitchen and bathroom floors with no effort involved.

I’ve used vax steamer mop for years. I’ve tried others but nowhere near as good or reliable. However I’m slightly disappointed and not left 5 stars because the water tank size has been ridiculously reduced. It has to be refilled every day. Also the hand release steamer control is a tad annoying for us elder persons whose hands are not as strong as we once were. I’m not going to return though. I still like it but wish they’d not changed those two details. Vax please rethink these changes for next upgrade. Don’t change for the sake of changing.

I have had this model before it is very good it does the job (I never use the hand held) the glider with this new machine brought my carpet back to life I have lots of microfiber cloths. One irritation you have to keep pressing the button for steam. But it is not the end of the world. If you have arthritis in your hands this might not work for you

The Steam Fresh Combi Classic is designed mainly for sealed hard floors, tiles, and bathroom surfaces. While it can refresh carpets, it’s not intended for deep cleaning soft furnishings and may not be very effective on them.
