Does what it says. Very easy to use. Though it slows up if you add 3 or 4 sheets. Have patience and put through 1 to 2 a time. it's a domestic shredder after all. I like being able to see if basket is full

Bought a few weeks and it serves my requirements great. Not too noisy but a tad dusty when shredding but would buy again if necessary. Didn’t seem to take long to fill up, all ok.

Shreds ok but you have to turn the machine off as there is no automatic switch off when the paper has gone through nor is there a lock . Size is ok for home small office use, the power cable exist from the back of the machine not the side as on my old shredder from the same manufacturer which suits me.

Very competent shredder for home use.
Very competent shredder that isn't too noisy. It needs individual manual inserts and a rest after 3 minutes use so suitable for home use rather than large quantity shredding.

From the information we have available, I can advise the Fellowes P-42C 8 Sheet Cross Cut Shredder does have an Auto setting. This feature allows the shredder to automatically start and stop when paper is inserted or removed.

This answer contradicts the previous one which claimed the Auto function allows the shredder to stop once the paper has passed through, then restart automatically if more paper is inserted.
