Customers Say
This cafetière is well-received for its quality and ease of use, although many users find the size misleading, as it only brews one cup instead of three. Ideal for individuals or small households.

Cafetiere
I bought this to replace my one which was old and started leaking after previously smashing one. At the time I didn't realise that replacement did not have the strainer in the lid. I was so pleased to find this one did. Pleased with it a great quality product.

Small cafetiere
Should have realised that '3 cups' means espresso size, it only actually provides one medium sized mug!

Misleading
The description of this product is misleading. What should have been described is the amount that it holds in metric not cups. It holds 300 mls not 3 cups Totally misleading.

Hi Adi,
Yes, you could use aluminium capsules in this Habitat 3 Cup Cafetiere - Black, providing you open the capsule and only use the coffee inside.
Thank you for using Q&A
I use this for grounded coffee i am sure if you pop out the coffee from the aluminium capsules it should work and filter the coffee.
If you empty the capsules into it then yes it’s fine , I’ve done this myself
This is not to brew your coffee on gas or electric cooker.
You have to add grounded loose coffee add hot water and then wait for 1mins press down and pour in a mug. Hope this helps.
Hi Francesca,

HI there
Having checked with the supplier for you I can let you know No, definitely no.The glass is not supposed to be forced out from the plastic carrier for any purpose.
Thanks for using Argos Q & A
No. I looked at attempting to remove the glass beaker. It appears to be either clipped or glued. If you exert too much pressure on the beaker when trying to remove it, you risk breaking the beaker.
Hi there,
The jug is made of Borosilicate glass.
Thanks for using Argos Q&A
The jug itself is glass, but the holder is black plastic and protects the glass.
It makes 3 expresso size cups or one mug. The three 3 cups refers to the expresso cups.
It makes 1 MUG or 3 CUPS of coffee. I think people are misunderstanding the difference.
Hi Chels,
The Argos Home 3 Cup Plastic Cafetiere has a 0.35 litre capacity and is sufficient to fill 3 medium cups.
I hope this helps.
